Construction and land loan questions, answered.

What’s the difference between these loans?

A construction loan helps pay for building a home. A recreational land loan is for property you plan to use for things like hunting, camping, or time outdoors. A lot loan is for a homesite you may build on later.

How does a construction loan work?

A construction loan helps cover building costs while your home is being built. Instead of receiving all the money at once, funds are generally provided in stages as work is completed. We’ll walk you and your builder through how that process works.

What should I have before I apply?

Bring any information you already have about the property, builder, estimated costs, plans, and timeline. It’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out yet. We can tell you what else you’ll need.

Can I buy a lot now and build later?

Yes. A lot loan can help you purchase a future homesite before you’re ready to begin construction. When it’s time to build, we can talk with you about construction financing.

Wherever you’re starting, we’ll start there with you.
