Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which loan is right for me?

We’ll work together to figure that out. Tell us what you’re working toward in your application, whether that’s a car, a home, consolidating a few balances, or building your credit, and we’ll walk through your options together and help you find the loan that fits your budget and your timeline. It’s the same conversation we’d have with you across the desk in the branch.

Do I need to be a member before I apply for a loan?

No, you can apply for a loan first. If you decide Linden is the right fit for you, we’ll walk you through becoming a member as part of the process.

What will I need to apply for a loan?

For most loans, a few basics will get you going: a government-issued photo ID, your contact and employment information, and a sense of the amount you need to borrow are enough to start. Depending on the loan, we may ask for proof of income or a little more information. We’ll let you know what you need.

Will my credit score keep me from qualifying?

Not necessarily. We look at the whole picture, not just a number, and we’re known for working with members who’ve been turned away elsewhere. If your credit isn’t where you’d like it to be, we’ll talk through your best options, including a credit-builder loan made to help you strengthen your score over time.

Wherever you’re starting, we’ll start there with you.
